702-Series Update. The SmallHD 7-inch 702 Touch HDMI / SDI On-Camera Monitor continues the lineage of SmallHD 702-series monitors and is a substantial upgrade from the SmallHD 7-inch 702 Bright HDMI / SDI On-Camera Field Monitor. The 702 Touch features a redesigned housing with much more reliable NP-F battery connectors, a slightly larger screen, and a 50% brightness increase. The intuitive touch interface now makes changing settings on the fly a joy, but sadly, the option for Canon LP-E6 batteries has been removed.
High Resolution You Can Touch. This full HD, 1920 × 1200, IPS touchscreen, LCD monitor provides an extremely sharp image with a 323 ppi pixel density. Despite being an LCD, the 702 is able to produce 100% of the DCI-P3 RBG color space (26% greater than the REC. 709 color standard), rivaling OLED technology’s color capabilities.
Brightness for Days. The Small HD 702 Touch’s display is rated at 1500 nits brightness with a super wide 179° viewing angle, making it useable from the darkest corners of your set to broad daylight.
HDMI & SDI Inputs & Outputs. The 702 supports both HDMI and 3G-SDI inputs and outputs with cross-convertion between them. 3G-SDI format support maxes out at 1080/120i and 1080/60p in 10-bit YCC 4:2:2. HDMI format support maxes out at 1080/60p in 12-bit 4:4:4 color. Audio is transferred through both 3G-SDI and HDMI, with a 1/8-inch stereo out to monitor audio via headphones (not included).
Feature-Rich OS3 Toolset. Expanded options include the output of 3D LUT previews to downstream devices, image capture, overlays, custom scaling, anamorphic desqueeze, peaking, false color, Waveform, Zebras, RGB parade, histogram, and on-screen audio meters. An SD card slot allows lets you add custom LUTs, and save and share settings to other monitors. Please note that this rental doesn’t include an SD card.
